How to install a new theme in WordPress

A theme controls how your website looks: colors, fonts and layout. You can change it anytime.

Tip: Create a backup first, so you can easily go back if you don’t like it.

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. In the menu on the left, click Appearance, then Themes.
3. Click Add New Theme.
4. Search for a theme by name, or browse the Popular and Latest lists. You can also use the Feature Filter to narrow things down.
5. When you find one you like, click Install.
6. Once it’s installed, click Activate.

That’s it. Your new theme is live, and you can start making it your own.
