How to add DNS records
You’ll usually add a DNS record when another service asks you to. For example, business email from a provider like Zoho asks you to add MX and TXT records. The service will tell you exactly what to enter.
Not sure what each type does? See Common DNS record types.
- Log in to the control panel.
- Click the website that has the domain.
- When the website dashboard opens, click Domains in the top menu.
- Click the domain.
- Click Add Record.
- Choose the record Type, then fill in the Hostname and the other details.
- Set the TTL. This is how long other computers remember the record before checking for changes. If you’re not sure, leave the default.
- Click Create.
Changes can take up to 48 hours to reach everyone.
