How to add a database to a website

A database is where a website stores information like posts, settings and customer accounts. Some apps need one before you can install them. (WordPress sets up its own, so you don’t need to do this for WordPress.)

1. Log in to the control panel.
2. Click the website you want to add the database to.
3. When the website dashboard opens, click Databases in the top menu.
4. Click Add Database.
5. Give the database a name.
6. Optional: add a database user now. You can also do it later.
7. Click Add.
